Yep, we&#8217;re certified and bonafide\u00a0as such.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Our training program is entirely FREE.<\/strong>\u00a0Always has been, always will be.\u00a0No cost, no how.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The program can help newbies, experienced runners, and everyone in between.<\/strong> Never run? We&#8217;ve got you. Run like the wind and want to get a new PR? Pace groups 6-11 run for the entire duration of their runs; Groups 11:30-14 utilize the run\/walk interval method. Each pace group has its own Facebook group to keep you informed about runs and encourage you along the way.<em> (You have to click your pace to request access to join the group. Keeps things cozy.)\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>In addition to the full marathon on Sunday, March 8, 2026, the Los Angeles Marathon also has a half marathon and 5K option. <\/strong>Want to be part of the Los Angeles Marathon experience but aren&#8217;t quite ready to sign up for a full marathon? Consider training for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mccourtfoundation.org\/event\/charity-half\/\">Charity Half Marathon<\/a> (to be held on marathon race day) or the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mccourtfoundation.org\/event\/la-5k\/\">LA Big 5K<\/a> (scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026). Our <a href=\"https:\/\/runpacers.org\/pasadena\/training-programs\/half-marathon\/\">Half Marathon<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/runpacers.org\/pasadena\/training-programs\/10-mile-challenge\/\">10-Mile Challenge<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/runpacers.org\/pasadena\/training-programs\/pre-conditioners\/\">Pre-Conditioners<\/a> training programs will help you get there.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Loads of opportunities to run<\/strong>. We meet every Saturday morning at 6:50am for our weekend long run. Midweek runs happen on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:00pm. Our <a href=\"https:\/\/runpacers.org\/pasadena\/speed-training-for-2026-los-angeles-marathon\/\">Los Angeles Marathon Speed Training program<\/a> will kick off on Tuesday, November 11, and will run through the duration of the Los Angeles Marathon training season.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Loads of opportunities to volunteer.\u00a0<\/strong>Another way to give back to our running community is to volunteer! We have <a href=\"https:\/\/runpacers.org\/pasadena\/volunteer\/?fbclid=IwAR2a8ekpEg9o6-5Ltim8zJJRad5pvs722fubizopK9cCYw8EYi3SWpou4tQ8aq8\">weekly opportunities to volunteer<\/a> throughout the training season, culminating in our signature\u00a0<strong>20 Mile Cheer Tent<\/strong> during the Los Angeles Marathon where family and friends can come to cheer you on! More information on this to come.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rumor has it we&#8217;re a friendly bunch.\u00a0<\/strong>One of the friendliest in town, actually.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You just have\u00a0to <a href=\"https:\/\/runpacers.org\/pasadena\/register-with-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sign up<\/a> and show up.<\/strong> We require no membership fees or any other fees to participate in our program. Show up at a Saturday run with running shoes, a water bottle, and high hopes. After dynamic warmups, the training groups will break out and you&#8217;ll be with your fellow runners.<\/li>\n<li><strong>We&#8217;ve been doing this for over 25 years.<\/strong> We&#8217;ve helped loads of runners and we never, ever, ever lose that shiny, happy feeling we get when one of our own crosses that finish line.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Interested?
