VIRTUAL: 2020 Malibu Half Marathon

There is a Half Marathon, 5K, and Kids 1K Fun Run. Something for the whole family.

Get ready to soak up spectacular views of waves crashing on the shoreline, surfers and sunbathers in the water, and thousand of inspired runners on the road. This is how you #runbeautiful.
The Start / Finish Line is located at Zuma Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Los Angeles County, 30050 W. Pacific Coast Hwy.

The Half Marathon starts and ends in famous Zuma Beach, Malibu offering participants a beautiful out-and-back route along the pristine Malibu coastline. From the starting line, the course proceeds on Westwards Beach Rd and then turns left on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) passing Zuma Beach, one of the most distinctive landmarks on PCH and a cinematic backdrop for numerous films and TV commercials. After making the turnaround, just north of San Nicolas Canyon, runners head back down the coast to the finish line. The Half Marathon course is USATF-certified and participants will have 4+ hours to complete their race, i.e. 18 minutes-per-mile pace for the Half-Marathon.

Due to the out and back nature of the course (what goes up also goes down), the total elevation ascension is 330 feet, which makes it perfect for anyone looking to attempt a personal record — or just looking for a gorgeous, well-organized event.
There will be 6 aid stations along the course:

• Water stations will be located every mile
• Electrolyte drink provided by Gatorade will be at miles: 6/7, 4/9, 2/11, 1/12
• Energy gels will be provided by Honey Stinger and located at mile 6/7
• Basic First AID will be available at the all water stations
• First AID will be available at the mile 3
